The funeral will be held today, Dec 14, for Eva Maxine Bottom of Eugene, who died Dec. 9 of age-related causes. She was 75.

Bottom was born April 8, 1925 in Ottawa County, Okla., to Otis and Iva Dyson Utton. She moved to Eugene in 1937.

She worked 32 years as a cannery employee at Agrippa Inc.

Her interests included professional wrestling and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed watching "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy" on television, playing solitaire, Yahtzee and activities with family and friends. She formerly belonged to Bethel- Danebo Baptist Chapel.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Holland of Veneta and Doris Perry of Eugene; two step-daughters, Doris Curr of Roseburg and Alice Bottom of Red Bluff, Calif.; three stepsons, Fred of Marysville, Calif., David of Florence and Bob of Junction City; 21 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. A son, Todd Dubell, died in 1972; a son, Harley Crandall, died in 1994; and a stepson Wayne Crandall, died in 1991.

Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. today at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. The funeral will be at 2 P.M. today, also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
