Thomas Francis Gorman was born July 26, 1914, in Paris, Tenn., to the late Mary Agnes Dean and Michael J. Gorman. Tom was a proud alumnus of Notre Dame University and part of the Fighting Irish Marching Band! In 1979, Tom retired from DuPont as a chemical engineer. Tom was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He was also a very committed civic and church leader.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; daughter, Kathleen Rurak; and brothers, J. Michael and John E.

Tom is survived by his children, Joanne (Ron) Conley of Furlong, Pa., Ellen (Boyd) Bowden of Columbus, Ohio, and Tom of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 386 Buttles Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.

Contributions can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church or Westminster Thurber Communities Capital Campaign, 717 Neil Ave., Columbus, OH 43215.

Arrangements are entrusted to Schoedinger Midtown Chapel.
