Janice was the fifth and last child of Roscoe & Clara (Cantrell) Clevenger. Their first daughter, Agnes did not survive childhood. The eldest brother was Caleb Floyd. After him came twin brothers, Gifford and Clifford. They lost their father in a logging accident in the woods, when Janice was only three years old. Their mother remarried. Their family home was guided by their mother's deep religious values. The twins shared a wonderful sense of humor and laughed often. Clara was a wonderful cook and homemaker. Janice married Gus Bauer and they had one child, Sheryl Ann. They were good parents and loved their one child dearly. Gus had steady employment at a good job as a cook for the County Prison, so the family life was stable and comfortable. When Gus died this was a major loss for Janice as Gus and her marriage was one of those few "made in Heaven." Janice lost her battle with cancer quickly and now her remains lie reunited with Gus at Mountain View.
