The following bio for Andrew is excerpted from the book "Crubaugh, the America Story" by William Leon Crubaugh, Jr. The book incorrectly identifies the cemetery as Glenwood. It should be Glendale (see death certificate). See notes at the bottom for updates to the bio in the book.

Andrew, the first son of Jonathan and Sara Jane (Bowen) Crubaugh, was born in February of 1863, in Portage Township, Summit County, Ohio. He was a grandson of Frederick Crubaugh II. His siblings were Ann Jane, Mary E., Margaret, Sara Louisa, Alice B., Minnie, and Ester.
By the year of 1879, when he was sixteen, Andrew was working as a carpenter for the Buckeye Reaper and Mower Company. He remained at that job for 12 or 13 years until he became an employee of the B.F. Goodrich Company, where he became a machinist.
Andrew was 25, when he married Cora E. Armitage, who was 22. The words that wedded them were spoken by Rev. H.J. Becker, in July of 1888 in Summit County, Ohio.
There were at least two children from their union. A son, Charles Dewayne, was born in 1901, and died at the age of 6 years on Friday, the 13th of September in 1907, from enlargement of the liver. He was buried in Section E, Lot 2, grave 9, in the Glenwood Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. Their daughter, Pearl E., was born on June 29, 1907 at home at 1003 Johnson Street, Akron, Ohio.
In 1891, Andrew Wade and Cora moved from the residence of his childhood to 231 Brown St. in Akron. In 1893, they moved to 212 Johnson St., which was the first of five addresses on Johnson, where they lived, or she alone after his death. In 1894, it was 214 Johnson; in 1896, it was 216; in 1900, it was back to 212. During 1903-1904, they lived at 1048 Johnson Street. In 1905, they resided at 1035 Ackley. From 1906-1916, the address was 1003 Johnson.

Andrew Wade Crubaugh's death occurred when he was 56 years of age on April 18, 1919. He was buried in the same grave with his son, in the Glenwood Cemetery.

After his death, Cora moved to 958 Johnson Street, where she resided for the rest of her life. Cora Armitage Crubaugh died at the age of 72 on December 10, 1938, at her home. She was survived by her daughter, Pearl Crubaugh. She was buried beside her husband, Andrew, and their son, Charles Dewayne, in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Note: (not in the book)
Daughter, Pearl E. Crubaugh went on to marry William Neff Rutledge in Jun 1950, and died 19 Jan 1998 in Overland Park, KS. Her birthdate should be listed as 29 Apr 1907.
