Dewey S. Attebery Services Monday

Dewey S. Attebery, 73, 1127 South Chestnut St., died Thursday night in Natrona County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 1, 1898, at Newkirk, Okla. where he was reared and attended school. As a young man, he went to Paxton, Neb., and joined the Army, serving in World War I.

After the war, he went to North Platte, Neb. On Nov. 8, 1922, he married Bertha Sportsman of North Platte. They came to Sinclair, Wyo., in 1926, and moved to Casper in 1942.

He retired in 1960, and was a charter member of the V.F.W. Club in Rawlins, a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Oakley, Denver, and Mrs. Barbara Smith of Cheyenne; (a daughter, Ila May Oakley, preceded him in death); 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Hazen Attebery, of Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Attebery, and Mrs. Lillie Jones, both of North Platte; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Bustard Funeral Home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
