David Taylor was born November 6, 1952 at Fort (Camp) Chaffee, Arkansas to Dolores Olson Prince and Virgil L.Prince. Shortly after his birth David's family moved West; as his father, Virgil, was in the U.S.Army. A few years later David met his adopted parents, Mildred and Les Taylor, who were cousins of Stella A. In 1975 David married Cheryl and together they had a child, Sara Marie, who died very shortly after birth. David worked for many years in the lumber industry. It was during this time that he hurt his back and lived with the pain for the rest of his life. Later he worked as a Cook at Truck and Travel in Eugene, OR as well as many other places. David is survived by his mother, Dolores Carroll, his sister, Sharon Prince Hudson, his brothers, Ronald Prince, Wayne Gray and Michael Gray; 2 half-sisters, Gloria Blankenship, Carol Hollan, and a half-brother, Chris Prince, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David's father, Virgil, died in 1977. David began attending Hope Lutheran Church in 2005. A Funeral Service for David was held at Hope Lutheran Church, on Friday, Dec. 21st, 2007 with Rev. Tim Herzfeldt-Kamprath officiating. A reception in David's honor was held following the funeral at Hope Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. On Wednesday, March 5th, 2008, The Holy Sacrifice of Mass was also offered for the repose of the soul of David Taylor, at the request of David's brother, Michael.
