Dora's maiden name is shown as Price on the tombstone, but that was the name that her sons took when they came to America, so she changed her maiden name to that too. Her cousin Jacob took the name Price when he arrived in St. Louis, and some other family members took that same name.

Her oldest grandchild believed Dora's maiden name was Pavelotsky or Pavlowsky. (Or it may have been something similar to that.)

Her husband Herschel or "Harry" died before the family came over. Dora and Herschel had 13 children, but only 6 survived for very long.

It is believed that they came from the district of Kherson, Ukraine, though the town or village is still unknown. Similar surnames found in Ukraine records: Godorov; Hodorov.

Dora's son Meyer Price was a twin but the other twin died in Ukraine before the family emigrated.

Her daughter Minnie Price was buried in this same cemetery in 1954.

Another daughter Rose Brody (wife of Ely Brody) was buried here in 1930. Rose Brody died of breast cancer at age 38. Dora's daughter Bertha Sandler was buried here in 1959. Bertha had pernicious anemia, which can be caused by vitamin B-12 deficiency, so any descendants should be aware of that.
