Date of death was found by Dan's great great granddaughter,Barbara Patton Nivison.
Dan was a son of Samuel & Polly Patton. He was laid to rest between his two wives, all buried in unmarked graves.
He served in the Confederate Army with the 50th VA. INF.

"They are right by Mary Hill Patton......she was the first wife of Andrew Patton.....son of Dan Patton. They are all three in unmarked graves.....my great Aunt Veechie Brewer Browning took me their in 1983.....my first trip to Tennessee. She took me to the old home place where Dan had built his home and Emmitte had lived in and raised his family in Brewer Hollow."
