ESTHER A. SHIELDS, 73, of Rochester Mills RD, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1980, in Adrian Hospital, Punxsutawney.
A daughter of Lester and Esther Markle Williams Salsgiver, she was born May 6, 1907, in Indiana County.
Surviving are her husband, WilliamGuy Shields; these children: Robert, Rochester Mills; John S., Cherry Tree RD; Mrs. Jane Bennett, Rochester Mills RD 1; William,Conneaut, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and two sisters: Calvin Salsgiver and Anna Belle Salsgiver, both of West Springfield, and Mrs. Mary Wright, Conneaut, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one son, Calvin.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) in the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. John Feather III officiating. Interment will be in Ruffner Cemetery near Clymer.
