Those who knew him always called him Jack, most didn't know his first name was Oliver.

According to Military Records; Jack Boles served in the US Army during WW11 enlisting two separate times.
Enlistment Date 1: 24 Jan 1945 - Release Date 1: 13 Dec 1946
Branch 2: ARMY
Enlistment Date 2: 11 May 1949 - Release Date 2: 20 Nov 1953

He also served during the Korean Conflict, no dates on this one but he was listed as a Corporal with his Service Occupation listed as Infantry Reconnaissance Scout.
He was listed in the Prisoner of War Camp: Ch'ang-Song - Dossier Number: C8050204 -Source: Repatriated Korean Conflict POWs
