Death Takes North Ogden Builder, 60
North Ogden—William DeBloois Jr., 59, of 258 E. 3050 N., North Ogden building contractor, died Thursday evening at his home of a heart attack.
He was born July 19, 1907, in Vlaardingen, Netherlands, a son of William and Katharina VanSchaik Debloois Sr.
On Dec. 3, 1928, he was married to Pearl Anna Holmes in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a building contractor and owner of DeBloois and Co.
He was a member of the North Ogden Seventh Ward and was serving a two-year mission at the Ogden Genealogical Library at the time of his death.
CHURCH LEADER
He had served as a counselor in the elder's quorum presidency in the Mount Ogden Stake, as president of the 38th quorum of seventies and in the Ben Lomond Stake mission presidency.
He was formerly assistant ward clerk in the North Ogden Ward, high priest group leader for the North Ogden Sixth Ward and had been chairman of the Ben Lomond Stake genealogy committee.
He had been a member of the North Ogden Kiwanis Club.
SURVIVORS LISTED
Surviving are his widow, a son, and two daughters, Michael Lynn DeBloois, Ogden; Mrs. Maurice (Joan) Whitaker, Brigham City, and Mrs. William (Antoinette) Ivey, Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; his mother, Ogden; four sisters, Mrs. Leo (Elizabeth) Reynolds, Mrs. Joseph (Effie) Widman, Mrs. Harvey (Katherine) Ludlow, all of Ogden; Mrs. Joseph (Beverly) Butkus, Bloomington, Ill.
RITES MONDAY
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Ben Lomond Stake Center with Bishop Robert R. Wade of the North Ogden Seventh Ward officiating.
Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday at the stake center one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the North Ogden Cemetery.
