The Rev. Ralph H. Criss, 85,2233 W. Jefferson St., died at 7:24 a.m. Friday, April 14, 1995, at Forest Park Health Care Center.
He was born July 12, 1909, in Clay Township, a son of Herschel and Virginia (Smith) Criss.
He was married June 6, 1950, to Avis R. Turner, who preceded him in death March 25, 1992.
He retired from Globe American Stove Factory after 25 years of service. He also was a recorded minister in 1948 where he served at Bethel Friends Church and North Buckeye Friends Church.
He graduated from Clay Township High School in 1927. He was a member of the former North Buckeye Friends Church and also attended the Salvation Army Chapel. He was involved with Howard County Visual Handicap Society.
Surviving are a son and daughter- in-law, J. Dean and Diana Criss, Kokomo; a sister, Helen Spence, Galveston; and two grandchildren, Stacey Criss and Jason Criss.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville. The Rev. Nick Block will officiate. Entombment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Friends Meeting.
