Bryan Democrat Sept. 11, 1902
Surnames: *Umstead, Page
Elizabeth *Umstead was born in Benington Township, Franklin County, O., May 19, 1822, and departed this life Aug 30th, 1902, aged 80 years, 3 months and 11 days. She joined the Presbyterian Church when eight years old and later became a member of the Methodist church of which she has always been an acceptable member. She was united in marriage to Wm. E. Page, Oct. 6, 1841. To this union were born four children, one son and three daughters. The son was killed in the late civil war. Two daughters were left to mourn her departure. Alice, the youngest, will be laid by her side today, having preceded mother a few hours to the better life. Most of mother Page's life of activity was spent in Williams County. The pilgrimage was long and rough in many places, but mother rests now.
Rest for the toiling hand,
Rest for the anxious brow.
Rest for the weary, way sore feet,
Rest from all labor now.
