Esta Ray Hawley Payne Hagan Campbell, 49, of Woodson,Texas, Died at 9:10 a.m. Friday in Stephens Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday in Melton Chapel of Memories, Breckenridge, TX, with Jim Cox, minister of Elliott Street Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside rites were at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock under the direction of Melton Funeral Home.

The former Esta Ray Hawley was born Dec. 22, 1930, in Patton Springs, Texas. She had lived most of her life in Knox county. She lived in Lubbock 13 years prior to moving to Woodson in 1978. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Jan and Laura Payne, both of Lubbock; four sons, Larry Payne of Monahans, Berry Payne of San Antonio, Jodie and Stephen Campbell, both of Woodson: two sisters, Jean Smith of Dimmitt and Lola Hebel of Albany: two brothers, Cecil Hawley of Albany and J.V. Hawley of Lufkin. And her half brothers and sisters: Cleoda Rhoudes of Hobbs,NM, Madeline Alexander of La Mirada, CA, Rene Hawley, Barbara Hawley, Clarence (Chubby) Hawley, Dennis Ray Hawley, O.C. (Geronimo) Hawley Jr. Slaton, TX, and step-mother, Joyce Victoria Caldwell Hawley. Her father, O.C. Hawley of Albany: and six grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her Mother; Beatrice E Caldwell Hawley, siblings: Dorothy Lenore Hawley, Marvin Lester Hawley, June Hawley and half brother; Utah Carroll Hawley.
