"Jo was born March 25, 1928, in Foss, Okla. to Daniel Alfred and Nina Mae Loughmiller Duff. She passed Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She moved to Calif. when she was 2 months old.
Jo met the love of her life on a blind date in 1946, arranged by Clifford's brother and sister-in-law. It was love at first sight. Clifford proposed on the first date, Jo accepted his proposal a week later on the third date. They were married six months later, on March 22, 1947, Ventura, Calif., after building their first home, in Montalvo, Calif.
In 1956, Jo, Cliff and their first three children moved to Kingman, Arizona, so Cliff could accept a job at the Arizona Proving Grounds in Yucca. Their youngest child would be born in Kingman four years later.
Jo was one of the first pink ladies at KRMC, then Mohave General Hospital. In 1975, she fulfilled a lifetime wish of becoming a nurse by graduating as a LPN at Mohave Community College in Kingman. She worked briefly as an LPN, but gave it up when Cliff retired so they could travel.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clifford Touchette; her 4 children; seven grandchildren; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews,
Jo enjoyed reading, traveling, embroidery and her 4 legged friends.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at First Southern Baptist Church, 3120 Hualapai Rd., Kingman."
