Ralph was a decorated veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had served in the U.S. Army and was a prisoner of war for 27 months. Ralph had worked as a respiratory therapist and physicians assistant for Kiser Permante Hospital in Bellflower, CA. Ralph had lived in Salisbury the past eight years moving from Anaheim, California. He was a member of the Salisbury Lions Club.
Ralph is survived by his wife Shirlee, mother-in-law Dorothy Guilford of Salisbury, children Ralph Bernard (Duffy) Gauna of Orange County, CA, Vincent Thomas Gauna and wife Crystal of Kodiak Island, AK, Jeffrey Allen Gauna of Boise, ID, Lee Knight of Salisbury, MO, Kimberly Josephine Gauna of Anchorage, AK, Gloria Louise Chamberline and husband Jack of East Liverpool, OH, Dawn Marie Glenn and husband Greg of Orange County, CA, Lisa Kay Davidson of Greenville, MI, and J'Nae Linneman of Salisbury, 21 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, two brothers Manuel Gauna of Kalamazoo, MI and Richard Gauna and wife Judy of Dayton, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Joe and Edward Gauna.
Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001 at the Summerville Funeral Home, Inc. with memorial services following at 7:00 p.m. Inurnment will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 9, at Eastlawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
