For some reason, "Mac" McMillan, dubbed you "Horse Collar". It was especially hard on Mac that you got hit that day because he was walking point. Although he was wounded, he felt he didn't do his job because he missed signs that there was a booby trap on the trail. It seems as though God wanted you more than your family, your friends and your buddies. You were courageous, Johnny. When I came to see you in the hospital, you knew that your tour of duty was over. I could see it in your eyes. But some forty years later I still see that big North Carolina grin. I know I will see you some day and what a great day that will be. Keep smiling, Johnny.
