Husband of Martha Jane (Wood) Lindsey (1829-1900). Archibald's first wife was Rhoda (Decker) Lindsey (1803-1849). He married Rhoda in 1826 and had at least ten children with her: Eli, Malinda Jane, Margaret Ann, Robert, Martha, Elizabeth, Harriet, Lucy, Robert and Joseph Lindsey. Archibald married Martha in 1851 after his first wife died. He had at least nine children with Martha including: Maybird, Napoleon, Rhoda, William, John, Archibald, Ida, Cosley Ann and Don Pedro Lindsey. Archibald was the son of Robert Lawrence Lindsey and Margaret "Peggy" (Allison) Lindsey.
