Birth: Feb. 10, 1906
Death: Jan. 17, 1988

Age 81, of Buffalo, died in St. Luke's Nursing Home, Buffalo. Born in Buffalo he was a son of Frederick A. and Elizabeth Dundon Kirchgraber. He married the former Dorothy M. Herrmann who survives. Graduated from Visitation Grammer School, Technical High School and the University of Buffalo Law School and he served with the National Guard's 121st Cavalry from 1931 to 1933. He was appointed an assistant U.S. attorney in 1935 and served for 20 years during the administrations of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower. In 1955 he resigned to become law clerk to US District Judge John Knight and to practice law with the firm of Hamilton, Dobmeier, Connelly and Kirchgraber. He was past president of the Buffalo Business Federation and the East Lovejoy Business and Taxpayers Assn. and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 184, State University of Buffalo Alumni Assn. and the Judges and Police Conference. Survived by his wife are 4 sons, Richard N. Kirchgraber of Kenmore, Robert A. Kirchgraber of Lockport, Frederick W. Kirchgraber of Denver, Colo., and John A. Kirchgraber of Williamsville; 3 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Mary Lou) Culliton of Cuba, Mrs. Richard (Diane) Smith of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. F. Peter (Jean A.) Milkie of Marilla and 29 grandchildren.
