Robert Davis ws born to Ralph and Lottie (Hogg) Davis. Her married Martha Sanders and they had two sons, Stephan Sanders Davis and Robert Kepler Davis. He went to Oakwood High School and graduated from Kenyon College. He was in WW11 and became a PHD physiologist. He built a 30 foot Tahiti Ketch sailboat in his backyard in Ashland, Ohio and lived on it with his wife, Martha for 7 years in Florida.
While working at Monsanto he helped with the development of the trigger for the Atom bomb and later he helped with the development of space suits. He developed lung cancer and died in Ashland, Ohio at age 69.
