Annie Mae Pevy was the daughter of Perry Edward Pevy and his wife, Annie Estelle Moye.
Mae was employed by W. T. Grant's in downtown Jacksonville for over twenty years.
Her death notice was published in The Times-Union, Jacksonville, Florida, on 15 Oct 1996.
"Graveside services for Annie Mae Ake, 80, of Jacksonville who passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 1996 will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery (Gate #2) with Rev. Bill Touchton officiating. Mrs. Ake was a member of Wingate Road Baptist Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Dorris Ake and is survived by 3 sisters, Audrey E. Floyd, Lucille Mann (Venton), and Myrtle Fowler; a brother, Raymond Pevy, Sr. (Regena) and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday (TODAY) at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd."
She shares a double stone with her husband, Dorris Wendell Ake.
