EVANS MILLS, N.Y. — Janet Lou Farrell Binzer, 55, of Kingston , MA , and formerly of Evans Mills died June 8 after a yearlong battle with breast cancer.
Born June 8, 1960 in Watertown , NY , she was the daughter of the late Leon “Jack” and Ellen Patchen Farrell, she graduated in 1979 from Indian River High School in 1979 and in 1996 from Jefferson Community College .
She married Greg Binzer on Oct. 7, 1989.
Survivors include her husband Greg and their three children, Ghena Binzer Kingston, MA, Laine Klein Fairhope, AL and Luke Bassette Myrtle Beach, SC; eight grandchildren Austin, Addien, Ashton, Logan, Jackson, Everleigh, Gregory and Kayla; five sisters and their husbands, Patty and Blaine Delaney Evans Mills, NY, Cindy and Ron Curtis Calcium, NY, Jackie and Dave McIlroy Evans Mills, NY, Nancy and Fred Hermann Theresa, NY, Joyce Farrell and Randy Sawyer Carthage, NY; two brothers and their wives, John and Sharon Farrell Philadelphia, NY and Tim and Patti Farrell Evans Mills, NY, several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, two sisters, Judy Johnson and Betty Farrell and a brother Gary Farrell died before her.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Evans Mills United Methodist Church with Pastor Donald Briant officiating. Burial will be in Sanford Corners Cemetery , Calcium. There will also be a celebration of her life after the burial at the Evans Mills Fire Hall.
In memory of Janet, donations may be made to the Evans Mills Youth Commission or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
