Ole Kittleson was born on 10 May 1848 at Dokken, Hol, Hallingdal, Buskerud, Norway. He immigrated in 1857 with his parents to the United States, where they settled in Wisconsin. Ole Kittleson married Britha "Bertha" Lassedatter, daughter of Lasse Olson (Wigøren) and Sigrid Ivarsdatter (Teigen), on 25 February 1867 at the Jordal Farm, Beaver Creek, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. Ole was a merchant in Trempealeau County for many years.
Ole and Bertha moved circa 1896 to Spokane County, Washington, but they returned shortly thereafter to the Midwest. On 7 April 1903, they purchased 62 acres in Norge, County of James City, Virginia, for $1,400. On 15 June 1905, Ole and Bertha sold their property in Norge, and returned to Washington. They lived at 1818 Wetmore in Everett, Snohomish County. He was active in the real estate business and built lots of houses. Ole and Bertha were members of the Central Lutheran Church. Ole liked to fish, even in his old age. He bought a fishing boat for $3,500. He was getting ready to go fishing when he died in the spring of 1930.
