Katharina Margarethe Neu is the daughter of Valentine Neu and Katharina Margarethe Boehler.

Katharina's siblings: Frederick Karl born 9 Apr 1830; Johan Gottlieb (1831-1911); Valentine born 18 Jan 1833; Margareth Elsie born 3 Feb 1835; Frederich born 11 Feb 1837; George Jakob born 11 Dec 1838.

The family arrived on the Ship Rajah on November 25, 1847, in New York.

Catherine Augenstine (sic), widow of Matthew Augenstine (sic) died yesterday at her home at Curry station, in Baldwin township, aged 70 years. The funeral service will be held at the late residence at 11 o`clock Friday morning. -

AUGENSTINE (sic)--On Tuesday, August 22, 1899 at 6 a.m., CATHARINE AUGENSTINE (sic), relic of Matthew Augenstine (sic), aged 70 years. Funeral services on Friday at 11 a.m. at her late residence Curry station B & O RR, Wheeling division, Baldwin township, Pa. Friends of the family respectfully invited to attend.

Buried August 25, 1899, with husband, Mathew Augenstein, North Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
