|Death: ||Feb. 10, 1888|
Miss Elizabeth Bronston was the youngest child of Jacob Bronston and Nancy Hollyman of Lexington KY. Jacob and Nancy had 5 children: William, Thomas S, Mary Bronston Mills, Martha Bronston Cates, Jacob and Elizabeth. All but Elizabeth married and had issue.
After their father's death in 1832, the Bronston children, except for William who had married young, were reared by their uncle and aunt, Rev. Thomas Springer Bronston Sr & Lucy Clark Bronston of Richmond, KY.
In 1850 Elizabeth lived in Athens, Gentry Co, MO with her brother Jacob and family, near her sister Martha Cates and family.
The Bronstons moved back to KY shortly afterward, and then to Kansas. Martha Cates died and her husband remarried.
Family lore tells us Elizabeth was thrown from a horse and died insane.
The fact that she lived til she was nearly 60 does preclude the lore - insanity would explain her absence from nearly 4 decades of records and her bland obit.
There was no further record of her until Vicki Cannon posted her obituary. Thank you Vicki.
