Worker's Body Found in Elevator Shaft
The body of a warehouse worker was found at the bottom of an elevator shaft at a company in Camp Washington late Thursday, in an incident homicide detectives said was an apparently accidental death.
Glenn L. Foley, 20, 4192 Arbor Court, Independence, KY, was killed when he fell about five floors down the shaft of a freight elevator while moving goods at the Hart-Hanks Company in the Crosley Building, 1329 Arlington Street, homicide commander Lt. Hugh Burger said Friday.
Foley was found sometime before midnight by another worker who called police, Burger said.
Investigators said Foley apparently was loading the elevator and may have tripped a switch which rendered it inoperable.
