Leo F. Lacey
He worked for Chrysler and New Jersey Bell Telephone for many years before retiring some time ago. He enjoyed prospecting for gold and other precious metals.
He served his country in the Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater with the 391 infantry he was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant.
Born in Brooklyn he lived in Keansburg and Toms River, N.J., for many years recently moving to Plattsburgh N.Y.
He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years Jane (Murphy) Lacey in 2000; his children, Maureen, Marie and Robert; a brother, Thomas; and sisters, Agnes and Marie.
Surviving are a brother, Wilfred Lacey; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at the John P. Condon Funeral Home, 804 St. Highway 36, Leonardo, NJ 07737. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday morning at St. Ann's Church, Carr Ave, Keansburg, N.J., at 9:15 a.m. The Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Middletown, N.J.
Leo was a devoted husband and wonderful father, brother and Uncle.
