Birth: Dec. 18, 1906
Death: 1987

My maternal grandfather. Married to Virginia, and then later in life to Louise. I remember he died when I was around 20. I think he was in his 80's. I remember seeing you a few times in my life. Seems I have a memory of you sitting on the steps of the old Farmhouse. I also remembering seeing you when you were older and sick in bed. Seems I also remember you had one of those car/pick-ups, El Camino?? I also still have a card you and Louise gave me for my graduation from high school, signed Granpop and Louise. My mother said my sister and I played our violins one day down there around the house, but I don't remember that. I know you had Parkinson's and my mother said you were in a dune buggy accident. :) I just wanted to say thanks for being my grandfather. :)

(I want to know the names of your mother and father, if anyone out there has info.) I was told your dad was one of about ten children, being the oldest or one of the older, and Turney Jewell being the youngest of one of the younger, making Turney, your Uncle, more around your age. Turney married Marie, and I remember visiting her, but it was after Turney died.).

I think your dad was James William Jewell? married to Nancy or Nannie? Nancy Elizabeth Truett? they had 5 living children: jimmie, george bright, pauline, jake, edith. (not sure of birth order) and at least one nonsurviving infant-golden? i found dates somewhere as 1873-1947 for James William Jewell?

James' dad may be Jake or Jacob Jewell, married to Judy Martin Puckett Jewell. they had ten living children. James, my gf's dad, was one of the older ones, with my gf being born in 1906. Turney Jewell was one of the younger children, if not youngest, and was born around 1895....thus not much age difference between uncle and nephew........i never met Turney, but he was married to Marie who i do remember and we did visit in my youth in the 1970s.......
