|Birth: ||Jul. 2, 1916|

Mother to Judith A.L. Fritts-Stroski and Vickie Lynn Fritts-Sayer. Grandmother of five. Daughter to George and Alice Ramsey of Decateur, IL. Sister to Jay, George who died in 2010 in Cape Coral, Fl, Walter, and Evelyn Anderson.
She is the grand daughter to John Thomas Estes and Lucy Hampton Estes. She is the neice to Ethel, Ruth,William, Benjamin Estes. All of whom are from Champaign County, Illinois.
Note also that Marie and Evelyn were both at different times married to the same man, Horace Arthur Plankinton.
Marie was raised on her mom and dad's farm in Illinois. She didn't take to the farming life, and left home as soon as she was able. She wasn't lucky in love, but she was very attractive and certainly had her share of chances at being married and happy. Married and divorced five times, she was a lady that was before her time. She was a women's liberation advocate for as long as I knew her. (30 plus years)
She moved to CA in the 40's after the war when she followed Art Plankinton. She showed up on his door step, and they decided shortly thereafter to marry. As it so happened, my mom and her sister were staying with a friend in Los Angeles, so they didn't have far to go and get the rest of the family. Art loved those little girls until he died at age 93. He remained their "father" even after he didn't have to. He was a father cause he wanted to be!
