|Birth: ||Dec. 10, 1818|
|Death: ||Jul. 7, 1890|
Otey m. Cynthia Parris 15 April 1863 in Douglas Co., Oregon (not proven).
1870 U.S. Census for Deer Creek Precinct, Douglas Co., Oregon (9 Sept):
Otey Boon M 52y Virginia
Cyntha Boon F 44y Iowa
Elizabeth Parris F 11y Oregon
Josephene Parris F 4y Oregon
Otay Parris M 2y Oregon
Eliza Parris F 11m Oregon (b. Oct)
The Parris children are from Cynthia's previous marriage to John Parrish. HOWEVER, based on the alleged marriage date above, then it would appear that Josephine, Otey & Eliza were Otey's children with Cynthia.
Note: A Martha A. Parris (1857-1865) is also buried in this cemetery. She is the daughter of John & Cynthia Parris.
Since records are scarce for Otey Boon, it can be assumed that "Otey" was a middle name.
Cyntha Ann Hodson Boon (1825 - 1909)*
Joseph F. Boon (1863 - 1865)*
Otey Boon (1869 - 1933)*
Ella K. Boon Patterson (1870 - 1926)*
Dearest father, you have left us, for a fairer, brighter home. You are resting, sweetly resting, while we wait His call, to come. Let us thus not mourn for Father, Simply line to meet him there, Where no death shall ever part us, In our home so bright and fair.
Note: Footstone marked O.B.
