Birth: Jul., 1851
Death: 1935

Mack Baker was Postmaster of Myron from April 23, 1884-January 11, 1885. Mack had a second marriage:

South Dakota Marriages,
Name: Magdelena M Luke
Gender: Female
Age: 65
Birth Year: abt 1861
Residence Post Office: Cresbard
Residence Place: Faulk
Marriage Date: Aug 1926
Marriage Place: Faulk, South Dakota, USA
Spouse: Mack N Baker
Age: 65
Both were widowed.
Clergy officiating was John Whaley (or Whally), Congregational minister.

Magdalena was married to John F. Luke, who died in 1916 and is buried in Faulkton, Find A Grave Memorial,# 100288611, as is Magdalena- buried next to her first husband with the Luke surname, Find A Grave Memorial # 100288512. Ironically, I added their grave photos to Findagrave several years ago. Now we know the rest of the story. KG

The 1930 census enumerates an unmarried sister-in-law with the Bakers, Margaret Schweickhard, like Magdalena, born in Wisconsin to parents from France. So likely Magdelena's maiden name was Schweickhard.

Wisconsin, Birth Index, 1820-1907:
Name: Margaretha Carolina Schweickhard

FHL Film Number: 1302860
Margaret has Find A Grave Memorial # 66813991.
