NORBECK BOY DIES SATURDAY-
Funeral services for Jerry Lee Adams, 5 year old son of Mr and Mrs Fay Adams of Norbeck were held at Norbeck Monday. Rev. Skogland of Norbeck conducted the services. The boy died at the Faulkton hospital Saturday where he has been seriously ill for some time. Burial services were held at the Faulkton cemetery.
Jerry Lee Adams was born at Norbeck on Feb. 8th, 1934. For five short years he brightened the home and lives of his parents and the little sister. Living at the center of the community he found his way into the hearts of every person who visited the Norbeck store and post office. In a very real sense he came to be everyone's boy and his passing will be mourned by all as a personal loss.
He was found to be ill on the 24th day of March, and was taken to the Faulkton hospital where an operation for appendicitis was immediately performed. After a week of suffering he passed away April 1st at the age of 5 years, 1 month and 24 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his father and mother, Mr and Mrs F. H. Adams; a sister, Lorna; four grandparents, Mr and Mrs J. H. Adams; and Mr and Mrs S. L. Meyers all of Nebraska; nine uncles, ten aunts, seventeen cousins, and a host of friends and neighbors old and young.
"I spoke to my God
As I knelt in prayer,
And I said, "Thy care
Is our guard and guide,
Is he 'neath the sod
Who they said had died?"
And the answer came as a trumpet calls,
"He abides with me in the heavenly halls,"
