Wife of Roy Ransom Brockett. Died in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, Erie County, New York. Olive was active in the Kenmore United Methodist Church and was a leader among numerous women's groups in the area. She attended the Gennessee Wesleyan Seminary at Lima and Syracuse University before her marriage to Roy Brockett 27 Dec. 1907. She was a charter member of the Bethlehem Chapter 634, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Women's Republican Organization of Kenmore. She was active in the early work of the Community Chest of Buffalo. She was considered to be a person of high values, who was always concerned about people, who were having difficult times. She was also a former Girl Scout leader and counselor. Additionally, her husband was the Mayor of Kenmore, New York, from 1925 to 1930, and was on the Erie County Board of Supervisors from 1930 to 1950, and Olive was held in the highest respect, in her supporting role, as his wife.
