James R. Baker
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, in Corbett Community Church for James R. Baker , who died Dec. 17 at age 83.
James R. Baker was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Gresham, and lived all his life in Aims. He graduated from Corbett High School. During World War II, he served in the Navy in the Pacific.
He owned with his brother and brother-in-law Baker Brothers Logging for 40 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for Department 14 for 34 years and was a lifetime member of Greater Aims Community Church. In 1944, he married Ardis C. Mershon.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Linda Traxler and Pat Lucas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
