Annie Knight Gregory was the last surviving NSDAR Real Daughter. The daughter of Revolutionary War Soldier Richard Knight. She joined DAR 4 Nov 1897 #21323. She was born in Liverpool, Pa when her father was 66 years old. She remembered her father as a tall man of dignified military bearing. Besides being a drummer boy in the Revolutionary War Richard Knight was a Captain in the war of 1812. On the occasion of Annie's 100th birthday she received greetings from President Franklin D Roosevelt. At Annie's death in 1943 she was NSDAR's last surviving real daughter.
