J.L. Acaree, who states DOB as 4 July 1836 in Walton or Walker County, GA, has a CSA pension application under Doughtery County in the GA Archives. He says he enlisted in 1862 and served with the 2nd GA CAVALRY until his unit surrendered in Raleigh, N. C. in 1865. He had multiple health problems, including typhoid fever, so had to apply for a pension.
