John was born in Terre Haute,Vigo,Indiana. Ran away from home about the age of 10 and joined the Circus. In 1910, Roseburg, Douslas, Oregon he is with many Compaions, which I believe are performers. John also was in Vaudeville, and made up his own acts, and music. His stage name was "Nuff Said".
In 1918 John, My Grandfather, married Adah Irene Lepper in Niles, Berrien, Michigan. They had 4 children, James, Jack, Nila Fife, & Patricia Morse. He also had 2 Daughters from a previous marrage, Beatrice (Clinton) McClure & Rosemary (Clinton) Scranton-Rey.
Grandpa worked for Gross Photo Supply in Toledo, Ohio for many years. He did trash pick-up in Noble County, Indiana with Orval Bherns.
I remember Grandpa as one who loved to scare us Grandkids and make us laugh when we were told to go to sleep. He loved growing roses. I love and miss him.
