Bob Cox, his wife (Martha) and their older children left Warrensburg, Johnson County, Missouri, not too long after they were married (1901), stopping briefly at Troy, Idaho and other places. They settled, for a while, at Dog Pound and Didsbury, Alberta (near Cochrane), and then came north to the Prairie Echo area, north of High Prairie, in 1919. They lived in this area for the rest of their lives. Martha died in 1935. More children were born to them after they left the States. They were stalwart pioneer members of their community and both are buried in High Prairie.
