Father of John, Richard, Ruth, Luther, Nellie, Bettie, Irene and Samuel; successful farmer, built retirement home on Virginia Avenue.

Children: John Martin, James Richard, Mary Ruth, Jacob Luther, Nellie Virginia, Bettie Mae, Lily Irene, and Charles Samuel. Jacob and Eliza retired from their farm and built a home on Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD. Nellie and Ruth lived there, as did Bettie Mae with her two daughters, Elizabeth Eckstine & Frances Marie Liskey.
