Bonaparte Robert D. Billingsley, 63, rural Bonaparte, died of a heart attack at 1:30 PM Monday, August 18, 1986, at his home.

Services will be at 1:30 PM Thursday at Hillsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Newman and Robert Hambright officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, where memorials may be left.

Billingsley was born May 12, 1923 near Hillsboro, the son of Howard and Zeffa Nichols Billingsley. He served in the U. S. Marines in World War II and was a member of the Hillsboro American Legion. He married Katherine Lammert Sept. 3, 1943 at Marshalltown. They farmed in the Hillsboro and Bonaparte communities.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Howard of Mount Sterling, Wayne of Farmington; four daughters, Dorothy Shanstrom of Burlington, Joyce Weaver and Kathy Meyer both of Bonaparte, Lea Ann, at home; 12 grandchildren; his mother of Winfield; three sisters, Opal Hartley of Salem, Eva Lee of Olds, Barbara Miller of New London; five brothers, John and Raymond, both of Mount Pleasant, Walter Of Fairfield, Floyd of Oquawaka, Ill., and Kenneth of Tulsa, Okla.

His father, a infant sister, a brother and a grandson preceded him in death.
