Charley Boren, long time resident of Miller County, died at his home near Hawkeye early Saturday morning, May 24, of a tubercular ailment of which he had been a sufferer for a long time. He was born September 27, 1880, being at the time of his death 60 years, 7 months, and 27 days old.
He is survived by his wife (Minnie California Boren), one son and one daughter; four brothers, Hite of Hawkeye, Mo.; Adam of Springfield, Mo.; Scott of Perth, Okla.; and John of Kellyville, Okla.; and four sisters, Mrs. G.A. Wall and Mrs. Jane Wall, both of near Iberia; Mrs. Mat Geer of Urich, Mo.; and Mrs. Eva Fuller of Fresno, Calif.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Virgil Smith of Brumley, were held from the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, west of Iberia, Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, after which interment was made in the cemetery at that place under direction of the Adams & Casey Funeral Home of Iberia.
