Charles "Benner" Sevester Tuttle
September 3, 1921 - June 26, 2010
Charles Sevester "Benner" Tuttle left this world to be with the Lord on June 26, 2010 at his youngest son's home in Poteet, Texas. Benner, as he was called all his life, was born in Poteet on September 3, 1921 to Pearl Ankrom Tuttle and Eddie Albert Tuttle. The Tuttle and Ankrom families have resided in Atascosa County since 1913.

He worked as a roustabout, farmer, business man, hog farmer (for a short time), service station owner, owned and ran the Laundromat, service manager at Tuttle Motor Company, Mission International and Weber Diesel Injector Service. If it was a machine, whether tractor or old clock, Benner could take it apart, fix the problem, and put it back together. He served as the Fire Chief of the Poteet VFD, was a member of the Poteet ISD school board and a member of the Masonic Lodge 1074 in Poteet. He attended the Poteet Church of Christ and loved his Lord. He was a loving husband, father, a wonderful grandfather and a very proud great grandfather.
