Catharine, my 3rd great grandmother, was the daughter of John Simpson who came to America from Scotland and fought in the American Revolution. Catharine married Martin Baker 29 March 1808 at Ross County, Ohio. Catharine and Martin moved from Ohio to Indiana and finally to Cedar County, Iowa where she died in 1845 and is buried next to her husband.
