Mr. Carol Junior Bennett
Dad found peace in the arms of God when leaving this earth on March 29, 2002, at Summit Villa Care Center in Tallmadge.
Dad and his twin brother, Harold, were born Aug. 5, 1927, in Barbour County, W. Va. He had been a member of United Wesleyan Church in Akron, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He had enjoyed bowling and pitching horseshoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Albert Bennett; brothers, Paul Shrader and Harold Bennett; and grandson, James Matthew Bennett, and is survived by his former wife, Mary Bennett; children, Nancy Hartman, Stanley Bennett, Barbara (Pullin-Hartman) Bennett, Daniel Bennett, and Rebecca (Dave) Smith, all of Akron; sister, Louise Tanner of Doyles town; grandchildren, Roger (Marci) Hartman, Lynn Groves, Rhonda (Wayne) Kartler, Rick Hartman, Michael (Cindy) Horvath, Jen (Larry) Biskner, Michael (Robin) Bennett, Misty (Jason) Noble, Jason Pullin, Charlie and Alyssa Bennett. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Falls General and the staff at Summit Villa and Visit ing Nurse Hospice for their care and support.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Rob Merki officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. A military serv ice will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 and V.F.W. Bob Appleman Post 3294.
