Ada Louise James was the daughter of William & Ellen Downs (Barrett) James. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, she came to Colorado with her parents and all but one of her siblings (Bessie, Mark, Joseph, Eliza, Arthur and Rosa - Eli remained in Nova Scotia). -
