Adelaide "Ada" Hipps was born Jun 10, 1886, in St. Lawrence, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, to parents Joseph Hipps (1844-1911) and Anna Maria "Mary" Kibler (1845-1926) both born in Pennsylvania.

On Nov 17, 1903, in St. Lawrence, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, Ada married Francis P. Bradley, born in Pennsylvania (1882-1920). Francis was a son of James H. M. Bradley, born in Ireland (1843-1906) and Mary Elisabeth Donaldson, born in Pennsylvania (1842-1897).

Francis and Mary settled in Hastings, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, where Francis worked as a coal miner. After Ada's husband Francis died in 1920, and her son Paul died in 1925 in a coal mine accident, Ada moved her family to Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, away from the mines.

Ada died Sep 3, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, and was buried by her husband Francis in the St. Bernard Cemetery in Hastings, Pennsylvania.
