She was born in Fremont to Fred A. and Mary Butler Hall, on May 20, 1911. As a young woman, she was a professional ballerina and then taught dance.
She married Stanley L. Steen on October 18, 1931 at the First Methodist Church. As a young couple they raised Pekinese dogs.
She was active in the First Methodist Church and its women's groups, a long time member and past president of chapter EX of PEO and enjoyed a challenging came of bridge.
After the children came along, she was a stay-at-home wife and Mom. She always considered that her career and responsibility.
Following her husband's death in 1965, she became the Girls' Head Resident at Midland University in Fremont. She held this position for 14 years. She was an excellent role model for the women as to what a "true lady" was, 24/7.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Lee) Adams, of York NE a, son, Michael (William 'Bill' Schneid), of Marina del Rey, CA , three grandchildren, Christopher, Maralee, and Craig Jacobson, and brothers, Paul Hall, Ph.D.
She enjoyed her son's activities with his horses. She cherished every win that that he accumulated.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church. Committal was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Ludvigsen Mortuary was entrusted with the arrangements.
