Funeral Service was held Tuesday, August 20 at 2 p.m. at Lybrand Funeral chapel for Edna Olive Boothe, 76, with Reverand Norman Farnsworth officiating internment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Edgewood.
Mrs. Boothe died Monday in a Grand Saline hospital. She was born November 2, 1908 in Okemah, Oklahoma to the late William T. and Bessie Evans Johnson. She was a member of the Elwood Missionary Baptist Church and had been a resident of Edgewood for 60 years.
Survivors include two sons Bryan (buddy) Boothe of Wills Point, and James Earl Boothe of Saudi Arabia; two daughters Martha Carter of Edgewood and Glenda Forrester of Cedar Town, Georgia, one brother Weldon Johnson of Arlington; two sisters Barbara Bass of Wills Point and Dorthy Clark of Dallas; 16 grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren. Pall Bearers were Ted Bass, Fritz White, Richard Baker and Fred Bass.
