Jean Walker Cornwell, 78, of Paducah died at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at her home.
She was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 1191. She was a lifetime member of River 10 Street Rod Club and had served as First Vice President of American Legion Post No. 31.
She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Calhoun of Paducah; one sister, Clara Little of Paducah; one brother, Joe Walker of Paducah; one grandchild, James Larry Calhoun Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Britani Ann Calhoun, Jacob Lage and John Hayden Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie A. Cornwell; one sister, Agnes Shumaker; two brothers, Charlie Walker Jr. and Paul E. Walker; and one grandchild, Lisa Calhoun Lage.
Memorial services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. F. Wayne Carter officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. today until the funeral hour.
