OBITUARY
Solomon "Sol" Beaudin, 70, 2144 14th Street, died Thursday, June 10, 1993, at Luther Hospital.
Sol was born November 5, 1922, to William and Nellie (Guthrie) Beaudin, in the town of Colburn, Chippewa County. He married Marion V. Person November 8, 1946, in Stillwater, Minnesota. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II with the 5th Infantry. He worked at Uniroyal for 39 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, the Moose Lodge, Westgate Sportman Club, and the Squarenaders.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; a daughter, Colleen (Larry) Driscoll of Port Washington; grandsons, Brian and Kevin; nieces and nephews; his special friends, Mike, Kelsey and Joey; and brothers, Ernest Beaudin of Osseo, Glen (Lorraine) Beaudin of Cadott, and Elwood (Evelyn) Beaudin and Bernard (Lucille) Smith, both of Janesville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne, and three brothers, Gaylord Smith, Harold Beaudin, and Robert Smith.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, with Pastor John Hosmann officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. and until 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark Gomstrud Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
Sol loved life. He will be remembered for his love of his wife and family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating with his family and friends. Eau Claire Leader Telegram, Friday June 11, 1993 Page 2B.
